Is Paul Le Roux the Bitcoin’s Founder – Satoshi Nakamoto? These Facts say so!
We know what is going through your head now – Who is this Paul Le Roux? Let’s go back to 2019 for a moment to get some clarity on the topic. It was spring 2019 when the idea about Paul Le Roux being Satoshi Nakamoto was coined. He is not an average joe as he has criminal connections. In fact, he is a criminal cartel boss and used to be a programmer previously. As of now, Paul Le Roux is 48 years old.
During Spring 2019, many people seriously believed that Paul is Satoshi. Even today, many people believe that Paul Le Roux is Satoshi. In this article, we will explore the evidence that both Satoshi and Paul Calder Le Roux are the same persons.
Time For Some History!
Paul Le Roux is in jail today. For what? There’s a long list of crimes under his names. He has been jailed since 2012. It includes 7 murders, running a criminal cartel, and narcotics-related charges. The evidence connecting Paul Le Roux to the identity of Bitcoin’s mysterious founders came into the limelight during Kleiman v. Wright’s lawsuit.
During the Kleiman v. Wright lawsuit’s discovery period, a long list of redactions was included in the filing in Craig Wright’s motion for a protective order. Seems normal, right? That’s what happens during many lawsuits. In Kleiman v. Wright’s lawsuit, one unredacted footnote titled “Document 187” was of significance. It pointed towards the Wikipedia page of Paul Le Roux.
News Spread Like Wildfire
The unredacted footnote spread like wildfire across forums and social media platforms as soon as it was made public. Crypto enthusiasts began equating Paul Le Roux to Bitcoin’s mysterious founder, Satoshi Nakamoto. They also made claims that Craig Wright had managed to get his hands on Paul’s harddrive.
Paul Le Roux’s software engineering background added fuel to the fire. His technical chops were one of the main reasons why many believe that Paul, indeed, is Satoshi Nakamoto. It is true that Paul has the TECHNICAL know-HOW as he had created E4M, an open-source disk encryption platform in the past.
Many people who believe that Paul Le Roux is Satoshi say that Paul kept a low profile after 2010 because he was afraid of him being arrested. If he really went low profile because of fear then his suspicions were true
He was arrested in 2012 by the United States law endorsement for a variety of charges.
An Identity Card
Just after the redaction leak, came a screenshot of Paul’s ID card from the Congo Republic. His name was written as “Paul Solotshi Calder Le Roux” on the ID card. An anonymous writer added the following comment on this 4chan thread:
“BITCOIN WAS A PROJECT OF AN EVIL GENIUS … PAUL SOLOTSHI CALDER LE ROUX. HE INTENDED IT SIMPLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF MONEY LAUNDERING … UNFORTUNATELY, SOON AFTER HE WENT QUIET WITH THE SATOSHI IDENTITY, HE WAS CAPTURED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT, AND HE’S GOING TO SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE ROTTING IN A JAIL CELL.”
Paul created E4M with a strong focus on encryption mechanisms. This was another point that was presented by the people who believe that Paul Le Roux is Satoshi Nakamoto. The idea about Paul being Satoshi had fallen through but it again came up when Evan Ratliff, an investigative journalist, said in a podcast hosted by Bitcoin.com that the most credible Satoshi persona is none other than Paul Le Roux. He repeated the same thing in a wired article.
A New Beginning?
Paul Le Roux wants to start a legal business. As one says – “Better Late Than Never.” Paul Le Roux aims to begin a legitimate business and what’s can be better than Bitcoin. He told Ronnie Abrams, a Manhattan Federal Judge that he will be selling and hosting Bitcoin miners. That’s not what all he said! He went into great detail and said that he had created a custom ASIC with special features. The following is his exact statement:
“These optimizations have allowed me to create an ASIC chip design, and therefore ASIC miners, that have an order of magnitude faster at bitcoin mining than any current design, to this end I plan to pub my knowledge and skills to better and legal use,”
Do you believe that Paul Le Roux is Satoshi Nakamoto? Well, the above facts point so. To us, the evidence presented by the people who believe Paul to be Satoshi Nakamoto is quite weak. The only things that correlate and make sense are Paul Le Roux’s technical background and the time duration for which he remained disappeared.
There is a lack of strong evidence connecting Satoshi Nakamoto with Paul Le Roux. All the evidence and arguments presented in favor of this notion have lots of discrepancies. The mystery about what is the actual identity of Satoshi Nakamoto remains unsolved.
